Married in April 2013 International event rider Marti and International showjumper Tomas have been inseparable for fifteen years. After meeting at Goresbridge horse sales they quickly discovered a common love for buying and producing young horses. Both compete at grand prix level showjumping.
Marti started eventing under the guidance of Lucy Henson (nee Jennings) and spent time training through the Junior and Young Rider ranks with Gill Watson and Elaine Wilson alongside riding out for Josh Gifford. At 21 she went to work as stable jockey to producers Shaun and Sally Parkyn before moving to Ireland in 2006. Tomas comes from a farming background and has spent his life surrounded by horses. He progressed through the pony jumping ranks alongside plenty of hunting before spending two years working for Austin Quigley and his son Thomas. He also spent time on the sunshine tour working for Marian Hughes and more recently at Dietmar Gugler's yard in Germany under Lt. Col. Gerry Mullins. He has produced a number of showjumping horses to Grand Prix. |
